LaMelo Ball, superstar point guard for the Charlotte Hornets, collaborated with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for his All-Star signature shoe release. The Turtles took over Melo’s line with five unique colorways. PUMA pulled from the archive using MB.0, MB.03 and the current model MB.04 to celebrate the turtles and their enemies. We brought to life this expansive collection by taking basketball to the sewers and recreating the Turtles hide out. In this underground lair, we captured campaign photography, video and social assets.
But wait there’s more, if you collect all 4 shoes, Baxter, Krang, Leo + Mikey, and Donny + Raph, you have the opportunity to collect the fifth pair, The SHREDDER for FREE (limited to 444 pairs). Because of the unique release of the fifth Shredder pair, we were tasked with creating an explainer video. We took basketball fans back to the 90’s for a toy commercial homage that equally explained the release as it did celebrate the turtles we love.
For the 2025 All-star Weekend we took the Turtles to the Bay. PUMA popped up a Pizzeria with 5 slices honoring the four turtles and Melo. Pizza was handed out free of charge to all patrons entering the shop. Breaking through the Pizzeria wall was Krang’s Court: Battle for the Bay, a skills challenge game, participants racked up points shooting and passing on the digital hoops. High scores gave participants access to the turtle apparel and shoes. Additionally, we created a custom seeding kit with all five pairs of the MB x TMNT collab that was sent to LaMelo, Neymar and a sneaker media outlet.
